Multitrack Recording

Multitrack recording is the prevalent form of recording practiced today in case of popular music albums and it refers to the process of recording various sections separately as multitracks and then combining them together to produce a single whole. Multitrack recording is widely used for recording purposes at present and it was as early as the 1940s that the process of multitrack recording was designed and conceived by the renowned guitarist Les Paul who managed to realize his design into reality with the help of Bing Crosby and the Ampex Corporation.
